they fit it to the original ecu.

they're a bit crap though, as they are just a base map for the engine, so any mods you added, won't be taken into account.

unichip is better, as you can have it mapped for YOUR car.

unichip is better but will cost you between £495 to £595 depending on what type of engine you have and what you want out of it.

the superchip is 280 i think and just raises the rev limit.

depends on what mods your doing and how much money you have.

does anyone no if you can just raise the standardrev limit then?

don't have £300 for rr tuning, just want to raise the limit

i no its not the proper way, but the mods will only be on for a short while (will be putting on the 1.6 (4 branch decat system)

so no point having it mapped really, and will probley sell em after 6months once i get bored

im be feeling a c20ne with a supercharger! (once the 1.6 is finished!)

raising the rev limit for even a short time without sbd rollers and arp rod bolts can fuck your engine and with out any serious mods your not going to need your limit raised

its the rollers that break up due to them being made from plastic. the sbd ones are made from metal. you could always wait till a second hand chip goes up for sale on here.

i suppose you could take it to a garage and get them to take it out and solder it in to your ecu.

Never had any problems with my Superchip (over fuelling etc etc), not really seen any gains neither but I only have a drilled airbox and Mongoose backbox so wasn't expecting any - if anything it does seem to run a bit smoother through the revs than before but I run it on Optimax which might help
