i need to find one, and then find the money for one, and then take it to bits to lower the CR before i can bolt TBs on

iv been think of doing this to a c20ne
reasons being
already low compression (vectra's run a z20net low pressure turbo - not a let)
more engine bay room, being 8v, so loads of room to fit a supercharger
cheap engine, 115 bhp standard
cheap tuning parts - cam, pulley, 4 branch
what spec are you building too?

Indeed he does.
I keep telling him to sell the TBs to fund the pistons, and to make it easier to map.

after a quick inspection today, i've discovered it will be 'interesting' finding somewhere for it to fit. also, the bracket holding my alternator on has snapped

I've already told you where to fit it, but you wont 'adjust' the manifold.

do you have a z18xe yet?

it wont fit there, even after 'adjusting' the manifold! the oil filter would foul the pipe!
i MIGHT be able to mount it infront of the exhaust, but then there would be alot of stress on the bracketry.
next plan is to see if it will fit where the alternator is, and fit alternator at the front

no
im going to hide it behind the engine, and hang the alternator off the engine mount like p/s pump
i'll start tomorrow, by inspecting my 'other' 16xe to check whether there is room

1.8, but the block of the 1.8 and 1.6 is the same, so he's using his 'spare' 1.6 block to test fitment clearances.

going on a 1.8, but the blocks are externally the same, so i can actually use my backup 1.6 block to bolt the charger to, and make up all the mounts etc
