im in need of a new tv and a washing machine 
just popped down to comet but the prices are a bit out of my budget, however i was going to take the interest free option, 9 months or 24 months!!
but... apparently they do not do this any more!!   ??????
only a 5 month interest free option is avavailable now according to the sales man i talked to!!
i then thought ok, il come back when boxing day sales start!! he then said that comet dont have sale's but just all year round lower prices!!!! 
was he chatting crap at all, or was he right??

the price instore for the tv i wanted had dropped!! to the same price as online!!!
but anyway, they price match their online prices! but no interest option available then!
so i was thinking what is the chance of it dropping in price any more?? untill next year of course when newer models are out???

generally speaking retailers dont really bother that much with the january sales, infact things tend to fall in price prior to chrismas now.
With regards to that specific tv no one on here will know if its going to drop, neither will the person in the store, only the people working behind the scenes of the store will know.
so moral of the story it might drop in price it might now, we dont know lol.

For instance, I bought a Bravia getting on for almost a year ago now. Since then it has slowly fallen in price by £500+
It just happens.

i work in a similar store to currys etc... we have no january sales, but as ssj said things to get a bit cheaper just before christmas
we do five months or a year interest free

oh really!! so it may be best to buy it now then, before xmas rush and delays??
it has dropped in price recently so it may not drop again, well not any time soon lol!

ours is £2899.90 iirc, plus theres 10% off that price until monday
no dvd recorder, speakers or stand in that price though

Yes pc world do sell tv's.
They offer a 6 months interest free too. One catch, you have to pay £25 admin fee and i beleive thats the same with all the interest free options.

I used to work in comet and i cant belive they still make people say that. But it is true to a certain degree.
Comet match competitors prices and beat them by a percentage so when other people drop there prices in the sales comet wil also and then a bit more.
hope it makes sense and i am in tears what that guy sais
