Im not too sure when it come to red tops but it may well be worth changing tps as i had the exact same symptoms on a 14xe a year ago and changed it and it seemed to sort the eratic idling and stalling out as it was confusing the auto choke and icv big time.

that was fucked tbh it was wired to a constant live when conversion got done

i have a band new lambda

the one i have on is not new one and the wiring specialist wired it up to a live that comes on with ignition

would lambda cause stalling?

The lambda keeps the emissions on a car down so if its screwed then it can cause many problems from overfuelling to running like a sack of shit.Id try that first as its a definate problem with the wiring of it.Does it have a 2lt exhaust system with a 2lt lambda or was the conversion bodged and a different exhaust used?say from a 1.4 or 1.6?

Fuel pump relay for a guess, intermitment fault, had a similar problem on mine.

It can be quite common, there is a resistor mod you can do, it was posted on mig ages and ages ago.

Have you tried looking at the contacts or replacing it? Think they are only a few quid.

My XE would run, then just cut out and not start for 10 mins, sometimes an hour, i come back to it, and it will run sweet for a few weeks, then the same again!
