1 thousandth of a curie or so, is what they will have found. nowhere near enough to be harmful.
It's Alpha radiation, so it can't penetrate the skin anyway.

Alpha radiation is bad because it is totally absorbed by the skin, google can only get you so far when you don't know anything about the subject.

Alpha radiation can be just as bad as beta and gamma rays because of the fact it is so weak and is totally absorbed by human tissue.
It all depends on the circumstances.
And my original point was, you don't know what they've found and how much of that would normally be expected.

but the word 'traces' would indicate an amount which is not enough to be fatal.
either way, polonium isn't fatal if it's ingested as a lump, it would only kill an amount of tissue the size of the polonium particle.
obviously the two scientists in the thread will tell me otherwise.

no, it was a substantial amount, diluted lots, and ingested, so it could get into his bloodstream.
a large amount is the size of a full stop, a trace amount is invisible to the naked eye.

Yes, but remeber the media don't tell us everything and if someone paid enough they could stop anything serious being leaked out - especially as Arsenal have a few games coming up, it wouldn't be a good idea to let the fans know that they could get poisoned standing there, especially as they are paying the wages 
Saying that though, if it was extremely serious then the stadium would have been closed until it was cleaned away, so chances are it was just that, "traces".....
edit - and isn't quite odd how everywhere is getting "traces" of polonium, BA, Emirates.....
