I have SHITLOADS of music files that i purchased from itunes that i want to change to MP3!!!
How the hell do i go about converting them... anyone know??

You use a program called J Hymn which will convert all your encrypted music into MP3's. Takes a while and needs to be done on the PC which iTines is registered too, but works none the less.
The other alternative is to burn everything to CD, then rip it. This is simply impractical though.

anyone else used this program. looks very "in depth" and slightly risky considering ive spent a bit of cash i tunes stuff.

I have, I used a backup copy of the files to convert. Though it was a while ago so I can't really remember what I did. But it did delete the master copy of the files after conversion, so it was lucky I made that backup

I just do what Ed said, burnt it to a rewriteable disc as music files, then re-import them as MP3.
Doesn't take too long really.

i just play the itunes tracks and record them as wavs. then convert the wav files to mp3
