What rumours have you heard?
Who do you think your team wants/needs to sign?
I think being a liverpool supporter, we'll sign a right back as cover and possibly another central midfielder as cover. Not sure of who but i think Daniel Alves could still be an option for Rafa especially with the potential takeover. Also another rumour i've seen/heard is Macherano (*sp) from West Ham but can't see that one happening.
Anyway, discuss....

IMO Tevez and Mascherano would be stupid to leave West Ham in January.
I heard Fifa have a rule saying you cant play for more than 2 clubs in a season and obviously, they both played for Corinthians and have now both had games for West Ham.
I know they arent playing regular at West Ham but if they stay, they'll get more games than if they left 
I see them moving on in the summer.

mascherano is going to juve, deffo wont stay as he cant get into the team!

fergie has apparently said he won't be buying in january only getting larsson on loan. but i seen to recall a few weeks ago him saying he wanted another midfielder so maybe one more player to bring it.
can't see us splashing the cash much tho

Mark Viduka - £1M
Peter Crouch - £7M
Jonathan Woodgate - £4M (In the Summer)
Kerzhakov - £2M
Wes Brown - £5M
Zat Knight - £3M
Distin - £5M

hope wes brown doesn't leave  although he doesn't get 1st tem action as maybe a move for him would be a good idea

You wont get Crouch for £7m, thats what we paid and is a better player now than then (probably!!)
Ive not heard too many rumours as think people are waiting to see how much money we get. Alves nearly came in the summer, but doubt he'll be coming in Jan. If we do get a decent amount of money we need...a RB (Micah Richards will do me), a LB (no idea who), and some midfeild cover. Maybe even a top name forward.

To be honest I wouldn't expext us to get Crouch and I dont really think he is what we're after at the moment, but he certainly isn't worth much more than £7M

he certainly isnt worth more IMO, but in todays market where figures of £5m are being mentioned for players like Nugent, £7m cant be enough for Crouch!

This is one I would really like to see happen but I really doubt he would come to us, Also there are concerns over his long term fitness which is not what we need given our injury record

Hargreaves is more likely in the summer, he is still injured as it is so may aswell wait until he fully gets over it and fit again before spending big bucks on him.

Would be interested hear your opinions on Brown I was under the impression that he was held in high esteem by a majority of Man U fans? I know he has had a bad time of late with injuries but he has looked quality when I have seen him and let's be honest he couldn't be any worse than what we have at the moment with perhaps the exception of Taylor

Seeing him in person he does a lot more on the pitch than the tv cameras have you believe. He isn't up there with the other players though and I can't ever see him competing for a starting place.

Personally, I'd rather see Silvestre go before Brown. The lad is too unpredictable and has cost us some games.
Hargreaves would be a good signing provided he is fully fit....

i think brown and silvestre are both excellent cover for our starting 4. not many other teams in the prem who has depth in defence imo.
other than chelski but the ydon't count
