as it stands now:

I regret not taking any/many photos of my car back in the day I don’t seem to have any in digi format to hand right now

It started out as a P reg 1.4 sport

after some crap 15's and chrome mirrors where bought and then removed I ended up with it looking like this

this saw me through till mid 2004 when the front bumper was swaped for this

Then the engine work began I bought and broster fitted a Lexmaul Inlet and Viper with the aid of a unichip fitted by velos this gave 110 BHP

Towards the end of 2004 I now had a company car so decided to sent this one off to beardy it came back with a 20xe in it

At this point I decided the bodykit needed to go and set about fitting a gsi kit, some mo's where found and swapped for my 17's

In 2005 stripage and cage came

early 2006 seen the car taken to V-Tuning for a full engine rebuild this included Including pistons and re-bore the head was fetled by them and some courtenay cams and EDS chip fitted

Tidied up the exterior a little and modified the gsi front to take a kamei grill for PVS

Powder coated rocker cover was also fitted:

Battery has been relocated to boot to ais weight distribution:

I have recently bought a load of throttle body bits and bob should being getting them fitted very soon

Current spec excluding engine is

1997 Corsa sport
Striped Interior OMP bolt in cage
Momo Race steering wheel fitted to 'snap of boss'
Battery relocated to boot
FK highsports (seem fine for now may change in 2007)
2.0 ATE Brakes (4-pots will be added in 2007)
Full GSI body kit with front bumper modified to take Kamei grill
Smooth boot (this will be replaced by GRP boot in 2007)

Current parts awaiting fitment include

Polly bushes
Tie Bar Spacers
Whiteline rear ARB
Throttle bodies

Have moved on a little over the past month Pics Will follow:

First was a failed effort at fitting some 300mm hi spec brakes, note to others 300mm brakes dont go under curved spoke 15x6 mo's

Speaking with Dave A about this he is sorting me out some Willwoods most prob 285 midilites

Rear ARB was fitted very easy did not use the bushes on top of the beam though as it looks like it will work better wothout them) sure someone else on here fitted theres like this aswell.

Failed attempt at fitting front tie bar bushes as I had the lager post 1997 ones (so these are now for sale) The correct bushes were orderd and fitted the following day

Front Inner wish bone bushes fitted.

Tie bar spacers fitted.

All this resulted in the tracking being so bad I dare not even drive it anywhere to get it done (I could barely make it turn left to go on the drive) So spent an hour today trying to get the tracking somewhere near by eye :lol

Bit worried as I seem to be out of adjustment on the N/S and still have tow in with the steering wheel centred.

Anyway its booked in next week at a motorsport place to do camber / tracking hopefully they can sort it.

Right got it back form having wheel alignment done cost me £90 but it was money well spent.

running 1.4 degrees of negative camber and 40 mins of toe in now.

Next Jobs are have wheels re furbed again.

sort out my brakes (well actually get some that will fit)

book in to jamsport
hopefully might make some real progres so I can take some pics.

its getting there to be honest like most of us the hold up on this project has been cash flow, making mistakes and then having to put it right. I know think very carefully about every move I make with it.

Thing is if i were to start again im sure i wouldnt build it that differently to how it stands now, I have thought about the tb'ded x16xe route but one of the great things about the 20xe is the torque it produces.

Going to try and get it weighed this week im sure that will make an interesting post.

did a bit of work today realised there is no way i will have this done fopr PVS this year

Today I

Removed Dash
Removed cat 1 alarm
tried to remove heater box but looks like the matrix will have to come off for this (should be fun with a 20xe in the bay)

Removed powder coated rocker cover due to problems other people have had a little of the powder has already flaked around the oil cap and there are some very very fine marks on the cams but i think it should be OK needless to say im on the lookout for a std rocker cover now.
