My personal preference because of the following: -

Tyres are cheaper

Less likely to rub

go for 195/45 or 195/40, softstars are quite skinny so they will look horible with 205s on

I have 16 inch BBS alloys from a calibra (ET42 funnily enough) and have 195/45/16s and they still rub on what is supposed to be lowered 50mm!

i got 16" bk racing wheels on 195/40/16 with car lowered 60mm. et 45. had a bit of arch work at back and can have 3 people in the back now with no rubbing. looks really low!

the front however i had probs. my suspension kt was cutting into my tyre even though i had 195 tyres. so had to buy 10mm spacers and now it fine but had to have a bit of arch work done aswell.

so what size are the softstars? nevrr seen or heard of a 15 inch tyre with a 40 profile... in the past the sizes/drops i have run on my corsa without rubbing a single bit are, 205/40/17 (et45) 195/45/16 (et 45) 195/45/15 (et 40) and 195/50/15 (et 36) all have been used on my corsa and never really rubbed a single bit, and was lowered aprox 70-80mm...
