Seen many a thread on here so thought hey why not?
Looking back its been a long and expensive journey but I dont regret it (much) the Corsa, Started off as a huble 1.4 16v sport then evolved round to Valver you see before you:
After the first conversion back in 2002/3:
First set of wheels: and body work
TSW Alpines were so
Second set of wheels:
Scary what a dodgy installed alarm can lead to:
Yes this man is fixing my car with a branch
Few friends poperd round before a meet
After 2 years trouble free motoring with the Valver fitted, a slight incident involving sand required a full rebuild:
Then came the new Konis (to replace the old ones) and the task of forking out for a full rebuild on some four pots that I bought:
Thanks to Jr for helping me underseal the car also:
Then after trusting my car with a bodyshop a few years ago the holes and flaws in the car became more and more aparent. they totally screwed the car over, the term 'rank amuteurs' and 'cowboys' came to mind
So never the less I collected a vast array of goodies like the magpie I am and waited till the time came for a respray...
Then came the day before my holiday in June 06 I was looking at this:
I was thinking Christ!!! what have I done?
Then while on holiday sunning myself up in Mauritius this happend
and the finished article? Audi's finest colour Missano Red pearl
[img]
Now the credits I would like to thank Ed and Tom who painstakingly prepped and painted the car and did loads of extra work to make the car all stright and to correct the work of the previous bodyshop
Next to be fitted was the lightened flywheel and new clutch and thanks to Lee he also welded the gearbox mount to the car to ensure it wont go anywhere.
New Valio clutch and lightened flywheel (thanks Corb)
Reason it needed a clutch
think it was 34 runs with four drivers
Lastly Lee Mitchell at LM Styling, he deserves a lot of credit as if it wasnt for him this car would not of been what it is today. He is the most hardworking and genuine person you could ever meet and is always willing to drop what ever he is doing to help out. I would say he's done 95% of the mechanical work on the car including the Conversion (three times ) brakes suspension and countless gearboxes etc
Also this would not of been possible without the resources availible on:
The car now is owned by Jay Carr who is looking after it well

Earth strap went on the alternator leading to stop dead at the toll booth, was back on the road within 15 mins after Lee used some amp wire to make a temp earth strap

with no dash!!! what seats used to be in it?
I put an airbox on it and it wouldn't start first time from cold. So i took it off and put the filter back on. Its a bit dirty at the moment, took it out in the rain for one of the first times this week. Need to clean it badly!

I love the bumpers on this car
Though I bloody hated them when I was making them. Trying to get things perfect takes a lot of work
