In this case it was the corsa! hahaha had a little play with one down some spine roads, came to a set of lights and i noticed him hammering it towards me in my rear view. was sat behind me so moved off on green and was hitting each gear change like a beauty! bout quarter mile down road there was a roundabout, was pulling on him all the way. i let him pull aside me at the roundabout, he was laughing as he couldnt believe a corsa would do that, said he just bought it and he may go back to the dealer and get a refund! he was quite plesent unlike many others who get angry. gave me the thumbs up as i turned left to go to the supermarket. Still want one though!

I own a Corsa XE and even I know theyre quite quick, but not quick enough to PULL on a vxr. I kept up with a mk4 GSi, that was about it.

maybe it was my mirror becoming slowly more concave due to the CTR hitting the VTEC in a neighbouring county sending shock waves through the air and making small children run home for safety.

maybe if i was driving the VXR this thread would not exist but seeing as i was expecting to be overtaken and surprisingly wasnt i thought i would share my joy and happiness with the world

who wants a cookie.

ive got both although my xe nova wasnt standard as was running cams and stuff but still dont think it was as quick. I was beat by a nova fair an square in the vxr, flashed him and got him to pull over only to find out his was a 300bhp 2.0 turbo with a straight cut box. Now my nova is turbo'd, or nearly as it aint finished yet

The vxr being straight out of the dealers is probably a slight indication of why you may have beaten it.

Daimo will however be on here soon telling you how you woudn't have beaten the vxr even if you were in a fighter jet.
