just trying to budget figures as moving out within next couple of weeks, going to rent a brand new apartment for 6 months then look to buy.

just wondering what monthly bills will be roughly? seeing as its kinda cutting edge i guess insulation will be good so not difficult to keep warm.

Just trying to hazard a guess at what utilities will be per month?

Exceptionally well proportioned first floor apartment located on the highly sought after Riverside development. Very well finished throughout with 23ft sitting/dining room, fitted kitchen with appliances, 20ft bedroom, bathroom with shower. Secure entry, secure parking, gas central heating.

mav have taken into account everything you listed, just not sure what gas, electric & water are going to be for an apartment.

will just be me living there.

Probably around £80/month for gas/electric/water - exact breakdown will depend on what appliances are gas (e.g. if cooker is gas or electric). Council tax and maintenance/ground rent (if applicable) will be the biggies.

Council tax - £52
Gas - £40 (metered, i spend £10 a month in summer, £40 a month in winter)
Leccy - £35
Home insurance - £19
Life Assusrance - £28.12
Water - £32
TV - £12
BB - £23
Car Insurance - £30
Home phone - £18
Sky - £30
Mobile - £30
Food - £120 a month (me, rich, 3 cats)
Fuel - £120 a month (30 a week)
Mortgage - £300

Depends what you have on gas/leccy, eg shower, oven etc will all add up plus your leasehold payment

Over over estimate untill you've lived there for a few months, but for a flat i cant see you having high bills

EG - leccy £20
Gas - £20
Water £20

Sounds about right, as for gas you wont know how much you use untill you've been there for a year and calculated your average useage to get your monthly payment, unless its metered

Only pisser is the 2 week wait for Broadband to get setup. It could take even longer if the line's not cleared from the previous owner.

It took my mate 6 weeks of phone calls to Tiscali to get his up and running

In that case it's something like 2 weeks for the BT phone line, then 2weeks for BB after that. Well, that's what it was like for me and I was the first occupant too
