Just bought a second hand laptop off a mate and the screen display is tiny, I cant work out how to get it bigger? (example below)

Change the resolution to something higher.

If it won't let you change it you will have to find the appropriate drivers.

Tried that John, it is stuck on the smallest setting, and wont let me change it, I havent got a clue with computers so any help on how to do it please?

Find out what the laptop is, go to the manufacturers site and you should be able to download graphics drivers.

Ok all I know is its a Dell Inspiron 4000

its one of those display drivers on there, not sure which model you have though, check device manager should tell you.

Also learn to use google lol.

right click on my computer ---> properties --> hardwaretab---> click device manager

find "display driver" in the list shown, click on the little + arrow next to it, should tell you what card is in your laptop (hopefully) although it might not if it does not have any drivers installed.

just download the drivers from dell can't go wrong laptop name and number put in the search part of the website shouldn't take long to find the right drivers

I found it using the service tag: BNST50J

But still dont know what im needing to download, might pass it on to someone who knows what they are doing, im useless!
