can it be done on a x14xe? some bloke told me it cant and its easier to get a new engine truth or not ... baring in mind ive not spoke to a mechanic yet

course it can.... you just can't have it done too many times..
If the headis really warped then you might aswell get another from a scrapy

fair play m8. do they normally warp badly or is it just luck of the draw?
also is it really neccesary to be skimmed if the head gasket has gone or is that just a precaution

when you skim a head it takes very little off but
makes head flat again i mean we are talking around 4 thow
highly recomend if you are having a head gasket done as you dont want it to leak again and ensures a better seal.
when we have our heads skimed uit costs us around £30 and that is for a stright 6 so go around tht price but beir in mind your is only a 4 poter so should be cheaper.

theres no point even putting the head back on if you ent had it skimmed mate.it will just blow again almost straight away.
