my brother has one of these for his punto, but its not being used.

i cant afford one so i was just wondering, is it safe/possible to make this one fit?

ive measured it and it seemed to be about 15mm to small on my AFM diameter. can i enlarge this pipe in any way so as it fits


or should i just stop being cheap and either save up or make do with my air box and find a k&n panel filter?

You know if you try and make it fit it will be a lash. Save up and get a proper kit

Mine has two jubilee clips holding it on i could measure any part of it you want tonight so you can see if the dimensions are the same a the one your bro has if you want mate?

ah right. this is mine -




here measured 15mm LESS than the size of the bit on the BMC, so it would need to be enlarged from this bit here ^^ to fit onto the BMC.

(this bmc is for a punto it isnt a corsa one)

Mine might have a reducer on it which could explain the two jubilee clips?

another question -

if i were to get it to fit, it wouldnt cause any damage in any way would it with it not being specifically for a corsa

(im not desperate to have it on, id rather have my car run fine and be all good than have the BMC on )

Don't know the answer to that one mate but i cant see them producing seperate internal filters For each individual model.

My mates got one on his megane and im pretty sure the filter and the actual enclosure is exactly the same as mine. But i could be wrong

Alright mate, took it off a little while ago and saw how dirty it was (see pics :lol so gave it a good clean

There is a reducer on it which you can see in the pics and i took photos of the filter aswell so you can compare it all

No probs matey always happy to help

I Bought the car with it on so cant really say if it made a differance. I have that and straight through exhaust and Power was up from 104 to 111.7 on the rollers but don't know if thats anything to go by. Sounded pretty nice before the crap sounding exhaust got done though!

Your best bet would be to try it i guess, I would lend you my reducer before you go hunting for one but your miles away!

ive got one on my sport, compared to the pvd cone i had, it made a huge difference, didnt have any flat spots that the cone gave me etc

were you able to note the size of either end of the reducer?

im in notts and my cars at home lol and i cant remember exatly what size it was.

should make a difference to my green cone induction kit thingy (which was ditched due to flat spots) and my current modified airbox with standard panel then

if i can get it to fit

on the bmc website it says the diameters for filters up to and including a 1.6 and then above that
