Looks like alot of work! Took the whole engine out. By the way, what was the reason for that ?
The car looks great.

Nova Sport!
Does it have the Irmscher inlet manifold too? I don't know why but the stickers always look like they've been added afterwards with a computer!

dont ask about the engine, you'll hear something you dont like
its got an xe lump sat in the bay at the min, im fairly sure he's still got the original to go back in it adventually though
stickers will look like that due to the body being smothed, no handles etc etc
looking at most sports pictures they look like they been added on the pciture too

The story behing the ownership of this car is as follows. My brother in law owned this car for many years and he was the guy that got me into nova sport ownership when he had another one that i bought off him. I had my old nova sport for a couple of years until it got stolen. I always wanted another.
My brother in law sold this one about 4 years back at a time i didnt have the spare cash to buy it. The person who bought it had it for a year then needed to sell and i saw it in total vauxhall, made contact and got a very good deal.
Obviously because i knew the cars history i knew it would need some work if i was to have a car that i could have for many years without constantly touching bits up, so i decided after 6 months of happy driving that the project should start.
I took it off the road and down to a mates garage who did the rear arches and the front panel and put in a new battery tray. Thats where the work pretty much stopped with him as he had other jobs requiring his attention. I pulled the nova out of his garage and took it back home where i could carry on certain little jobs.
In the mean time my wife was working at VW in Crewe and knew Ade Culley, and asked him about painting my car inside and out. He came up to the house and had a look and we hatched a plan that he would do most of the body/prep work at my house in his spare time to keep my costs down then would take the car to his work and do the paint job.
The guy is an absolute genius and it was a pleasure to work with him most of last summer every weekenf and see how a professional works. His work is outstanding and to say im pleased with the final outcome is a massive understatement.
The car came back from paint a year ago and i got about rebuilding everything (everything has come off the car at some stage). It s now at the stage where i just need to get the engine running and finish my bits of alarm wiring and a few other touches.
At the minute ive not worked on the car for a few months as my wife bought a Ford Racing Puma and ive been lovong driving that and doing a few jobs on that needed for this coming show season, and also i bought the corsa sport which ive decided to put a gsi kit on and a few other little jobs.

Hopefully going to get the engine running in the next couple of weeks, my mate whos an auto electrician is going to come have a look. Then once its running im probably gonig to rip it out of the nova and fit into the corsa. Put my 1.3 sport engine back in with my newly purchased irmscher cam cover

Nova looks stunning in the pic, 10x better in person, tried my hardest to stop drooling when i was around ttrying to help get it running
your better off using a late type loom out of a cav, etc for the corsa conversion fella, the plugs for wiring it up will be in the same place...

yea, will need to ground out one of the pins on the ecu though, the older loom already does that, or say run with a lambda sensor ?
would want a loom, which isn't a dispac though
basically with plugs like this for wiring, you've got the one which has plug in bay, iirc
