if i download things from companys like media player updates or things from apple, my transfer speeds are usually between 700-900k.
when doin torrents im highly lucky if iget about 60k?
is this normal and is there anything i can do or anywhere else i can go to get faster downloads?

what client are you using? you'll need certain ports open for maximum speed...
the alternative of course is newsgroups.. guaranteed download at your connection's maximum speed. been using them for a few months, never going back to torrents
