Ive looked on the internet but found no decent infomation. Just want to know the main advantages disadvantages of getting the flywheel lightened as the clutch is going to be done.

It gives the flywheel less intertia, so the engine can increase revs quicker.

the engine will rev easier due to have less weight to turn it will also loose engine speed faster when you let off the accelereator too.

You are removing mass from the flywheel which means that it takes less energy to rotate it. This means the engine can rev up faster and possibly achieve a higher rev limit if allowed to. The drawback is as the fly wheel has less mass it cannot hold as much angular momentum (inertia). This effectively gives you less torque so you might feel the car performs slightly worse when going uphill and in other situations. If accompanied with other mods and done sensibly it's quite a usefull mod to some engines...
