I think the old corsa is going to get sold Went out a run last night after changing the brakes. Did about 27 miles, then the oil light came on, then started banging. Sounds like the big end is gone, most likely due to the petrol that was in the sump after it was overfuelling so bad (I did empty the sump after, but some petrol was probably in the oil).

The bearings have dried out i think, and my brother cant afford to do anymore on the car. Hes spent so much, and got nothing out of it. I just hope he doesnt sell it..

And to cap it off, the gearbox in his fiat blew up on the same day..

so you had petrol in the oil and didnt do a full oil flush and change?

Yup, he said he did flush it. And my god, its sounding so bad. Defo the big end is fooked.
