between a c20xe with an f20 and an x16xe with an f15.....

I have both engines in built up form and thought I might as well weigh them to see what the actual difference is as the argument has gone on for years......

you need to find the difference between standard mounts, hubs and shafts, and conversion ones too Dave

hubs weigh the same, mounts ar the same and the c20xe conversion shafts weigh 1.2 kilos more for the pair (based on Mtech kit)

its a lot more.

I was shocked so I rang someone I know with both a c16xe and a c20xe and asked them to do the same. they got the same rsult within a few kg's

the weight difference in the gearbox alone was 18kg, flywheel 3kg, head is quite a bit wider and deeper as is the block when you put the 2 side by side.....

the inlet manifold on the c20xe weighs loads compared to the x16xe one as well.
