im new here and thort id post coz need help,

on start up i get a rather load tapping noise from the engine, then it will die down and go quiet for a while, but after driving for a while the tapping will come back...also the car idles funny, on start up it will idle at 900rpm then after driving it will idle at 600 then it sometimes at 1200... what could cause this? and any possible fix's for the problems...

tapping will proberbly be the tappets but im no machanic lol.

ok cool, well how wud i stop this and reduce the noise...

try giving it a good oil change first and see if it still taps.

also try giving it a good booting so see if it clears.
