just google '28" LCD' into google and see what comes up mate For the price it won't be anything spectacular but I'm sure you already know that.

yep not looking for anything super duper, with hd ready, freeview blah blah blah....just want somehting big, and preferably lcd because of the space restrictions in my room.

I agree. You could get something quite decent for around £500-600. Something that would last you a good few years as well.

Yeah i know what you mean about the brand, i've never heard of it before either. i dont really want to spend too much.....i can easily get a 28" philips flat screen jobby with stand for less than £200 at matthews, but its bulky at the back and its difficult to tell how much room it will take up

Only slightly over budget, worth paying a bit extra as you are likely to keep the tv for years. Probably about the best for your budget.
