whats peoples opinions on the corsa b 1.2 16v compared to the 8v! i know its a bit of a stupid question but just wondered what they were like! they feel much quicker as on parkers it says it has 64 bhp compared to the 8v which has 45bhp!

well its better than an 8v as it has 8 more valves therefore more power.

more power = good stuff

I just got a new 1.2 16v after a 1.0 12v - the difference in power is noticable but not immense - bit more nippy but as said, no rocket ship.

I had a 1.2 8v then got a 1.2 16v. The difference is very noticeable. 16v goes up hills without slowing down for a start Its just generally faster. Isn't what you would call fast though

Difference between the 1.2 16v and the 1.4 16v isn't alot in my experience!

Thats what I thought - the 1.4 has more torque but apparently only about 5/6 mph more top end - not worth it IMO.

Much better being able to go up hills without changing down to 4th though

A heck of alot quicker than an 8v, and not noticeably different from the 1.4 16v. You'd definatly notice the difference if you swapped from an 8v to 16v

I drove one for my PassPluss and I have to say I was pretty impressed, cruised on the motorway no problem.

Much better than my 12v from what I can remember.

that probably because a 1l 12v would be revving its tits off at 70mph on the motorway i would assume...

At the end of the day. 1.0 or 1.2 corsa's are perfect to build up your NCD.

So when you earning more money when your older, you can get something stupid fast and insure it.
