my connection is 2mega bytes with ntl ( always on )
anyway we had two computers connected through a router and when i put mouse over connection bottom right it said 100mbps, now we only use 1 computer with connection going from modem to my computer now it says 10mbps and if i click on a link in a forum or click on a car on AT it freezes everything like music untill its loaded, before it didnt do this.
bit of a essay just seeing if any help

Not quite sure what your questions is mate. To explain the difference in speed though, you do have a 2 megabit connection, but it would show 100mbps on your computer as that is the speed your computers connect to the router, and its the router that connects to the internet at 2mbps. The modem is very likely only 10mbps capable (as theres no need for it to be 100mbps when it only has to pass on 2mbps from the internet side to the internal network), so that would explain why that shows 10mbps. If it worked fine before with the router, then could you not just go back to the old setup, but with one computer connected to the router instead of two?
