differences between ph1 and phase 2 gsi's are basically ph1 gsi is the "proper" gsi, phase 2 as said were just tarted up 2.0 sports. but the definitive list of differences as far as I am aware are: phase 1 had a matt black boot panel phase 2 a shiny grey-ish coloured one, the different lights as above, phase 2 has a irmy spoiler similar to corsa gsi 1, phase 2 has no bonnet vents, badge on grille is just a sticker on ph2, on ph1 theres a recess I think, ph1 has skirts with door mouldings, ph2 are 1piece irmscher, ph1 has fan-blade alloys or cesaro 14s, ph2 has irmy twin spoke wheels, ph1 has a c20xe, ph2 a x20xev 134bhp ecotec, ph1 has stripey door cards and seats with a red and blue line down them, ph2 is just a sport interior with plain black door cards, ph2 has no traction control or leccy mirrors, ph1 does, ph1 also had mk2 style mirrors, ph2 had different droplet shape ones, some ph1 have heated seats, ph1 has headlamp washer jets on grille, ph2 doesnt, most ph2 had a passenger airbag, and a lot had aircon, ph1 never had a pass airbag and air con was rare. handles were different, ph1 were like cavalier handles, ph2 were vectra ones, some ph1 had round nipple side reps, later ones and phase 2s had ovals, early phase 1s had 3 spoke non airbag steering wheels, all ph2 had driver airbag.
