Made a forum and have tried submitting it to google and altavista but it still isn't on either and did it over two weeks ago. Any other ideas of getting more members? Its a Sheff Weds forum

also i've put a robots.txt file up with:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /memberlist.php
Disallow: /lwtopup.php
Disallow: /profile.php
Disallow: /privmsg.php
is that ok?
edit:lwtopup is to join a group/subscribe

Search engine optimisation is a fine art, it can take a very long time to go get into Google, even if your site is written well for Google, it can still take weeks/months for it appear.
Whats the link to the site? I will have a look as I know a fair bit about SEO.
