Ok, I'll list all the turbo cars I can think of for that money then.
Escort RS Turbo
Fiesta RS Turbo
Renault 5 GT Turbo
Punto Turbo
Uno Turbo
EP82 Starlet Turbo
Impreza maybe, or even an early Evo (2,3)
With your age and NCB, you'll struggle with the subaru or mitsubishi, and probably the escort/fiesta, but the starlet is VERY insurable, as is the Punto.

Brillaint robin...
So a C20let is out of the question then ?
Ive had insurnace quotes on the FRST & ESRT and there both around £1,500 tpft but that was from that crappy moneysupermarket site...i knw SOmething up 2 a group 16 is really the limit....Il hardly ever use it tho so limit mileage does that no effect the £££ of the insurance?

You would be best of with starlet GT or R5GTT
If i was you i would go for R5 as they are more fun and handle like a go-kart
For arounf 3k you would maybe pick up a not bad rs turbo if you look in the right places

Very nice reliable, refined, easily tuneable. With a remap you'l see good gains close to 200bhp iirc. I'm going to give it a good clean today and take some better pics, i'll take interior pics, seats dash etc. to give you a better idea. Mines got AC/TCS/EW/EM etc. plus full service history. Check my add I've really loved it to drive, but i need to downsize, hence my reason for selling

I would say a C20LET in a Corsa or Nova will cost you nearer 2k tpft.
I'd go for the Starlet, but the EP82 is the ugly one, the EP92 is the prettier one, but probably over budget.
Also, it depends what you're after, an Ibiza would be a great car, but it's bigger than anything else mentioned really.

Early scooby's can be bought really cheap now. Cant get much better for the money. This is mine and has been rolling roaded at 280bhp. Got this car for only £2500 so within your budget. Although i did manage to get it cheap.
