Well, driving to Uni, all fine and this happens.
1) I was not speeding before anyone says
2) The lady in front didn't have her break lights on
3) The road was greasy, I couldn't even push the car off the road - my trainers were slipping.
4) Loads of accidents at that junction, could have happened to anyone.
5) I am f*cking gutted, just got the car how I want it - already at the crash repair centre, Zurich approved. Car was recovered by Zurich and taken straight there. Touch and go as to whether it is a write off I doubt I'lll find such another clean Corsa for the price they'll give me. I hope I can recover my alloys!
Anywhere, what you've all been waiting for, pics & vid!
Front
Badegless grill
Slam panel
Inside a Depo!
Back of the lorry.
Lower grill & new number plate
Vid going on lorry
The junction - where you can see a car coming, that is where I come from. Where it joins on the road where I've took the picture from, no-one stops, quick glance over to the right then you're on the road where the accident is. I came around the corner, at about 20mph, so not fast. Looked over should, looked ahead and bam, there was the KA in front. I am 99.9% sure she didn't have her brake lights on (I told the insurance company this). Anyway, slammed on the brakes, skidded on the greasy tarmac straight into her.Not structural damage to her car, thank god, just the bumpers. Trust her to hit the KA in front of her, even less damage to that one, so 2 cars potentially claiming off my insurance.
I am not too worried about my no claims - I will have a car for the rest of my life, so plenty of time to get some. I am just so gutted for my car as I have got it how I want it, and I won't get such a clean one for what the insurance will pay out if it's a write off.
What are peoples opinions, from what I think is the slam pannel, is it repairable or a write off. Car is on below average miles and clean. Oh, radiator blew aswell so couldn't drive it, had to up to the recovery lorry though.
Let the "you were speeding" bashing commence.

Speeding doesn't really come into it on this one buddy.. So don't worry about what people will think about that. Gutting though..
However, onwards and upwards as they say!

Had a similar accident about a 2 years ago, car wasn't a write off even though I killed the rad, slam panel, bonnet, grill bumper and lights.
Its really annoying when this type of thing happens. Hold ya head up high, if you get it back then let the mods, commense!!!
Glad you're ok!

So you went in the back of her? Unless you can prove her brake lights weren't working then I think you will be at fault!

So you pulled out of the side road, looked back ahead and there was a Ka stopped in front of you?

Yeah, it was my fault, I'm not going to deny it. But it wasn't my fault, if that makes sense. In driving there, nearly every day since September, cars have never pilled back like that. No-one stops at the junction to look left and right, there is no real need.
Here is a pic of the crash, done to my best abilities with aching shoulder from whiplash - none of the cars pictured are the ones from today!
The reason I told the insurance company she didn't have her brake lights on was because 1) she didn't and 2) but not go against my name that I was being totally careless.
dan_almond & to everyone - I do really love that car (it isn't dead yet!). Despite it being a 12v, I got it how I wanted it and it was my first car. I love, it has done me proud, never broken down or anything question is what am I going to get now with the insurance pay out
oooh oooh, look on the bright side, I do have this for 4 days (if a write off) or for the duration of the repair.
They did have some new Corsa's which I wanted. Would have given it a write up

I plan to but there aren't many on Autotrader, next to none on eBay - I need a car for Uni as well
It isn't written off yet though there is hope!
So what are peoples opinions as to whether it might get written off?!
