Cant believe this was even thought of as a plan, the chavs who drive around with fooked motors, bald tyres etc will love it
Anyway, please take a minute to sign it! Using the link below...

for the cars round here i think there should be a lower price but make it bi-anually cos there are people who have cars that look like they just nicked it from a breakers.

Why a lower price £50 atm its less than a pound a week. Each and everyone of us wastes more than that a week on shít.
If anything the mot should be stricter and more often for high mileage cars to get some of the death traps of the road.
The idea of allowing a car to go 2 years without being looked at is preposperous.

every two years wouldnt be so bad as like you say the chavvy drivers would drive around not giving a toss and end up with endorsements on their liscence plus the fact that when it does come to m.o.t time, less of the badly maintained cars will pass meaning less chavvy dirvers on the road.

couple questions first seeing as i've never had an MOT taken on my car.
1, how much does it cost? (someone stated 50 pounds in this thread)?
2, if something is found what happens? do they put it on and charge you the extra? or can you buy the parts and fit them yourself?
3, if an MOT was every 2 years, so many people would have bald tyres/cars with big problems as police don't usually check the whole car for things wrong, just wipers, tyres, illegal things really.

usually around 35 quid with either a free retest or half price if it fails and you get the work done within 7 days i think it is, you have the choice to do the work yourself, leave with tester or take elsewhere.

You hate it because they force you to make your car roadworthy?? No wonder theres a petition!! Its for people just like you..
Mot might be a pain but its the only way to keep heaps off the road.. As for the above comments about mileage I dont see how that effects it in the slightest.

i dont waste 50quid a week on shit. Lower the price to £20 and have it every year as normal - this well never happen

Silly idea - dont see one benifit at all.
Anyone saying -
fucking right i hate MOT time ide love it 2 be every 2 years
fuck signing that
Forget it - you will have twice as much to pay for a test & twice as much to get done each time.

no because it costs £45, and they'l fail it because your farking windscreen wash is weak money making scam, if it's purely to keep heaps of the road it should be free for the first test and pay for any retests

it would better if the govt. put some of our taxes in govt run testing stations that mot test for free, and you have to pay for repairs
