looking for some decent RAM, but not sure what to get. I dont want to pay through the teeth, but at the same time i dont want the budget stuff.
What i do my mobo takes is:

whats the difference between non ECC and ECC, also buffered and unbuffered?
Vista has given all my hardware ratings +5 except memory which is 2,1!
i also have corsair ram which i thought was quick :-s

ECC is an error checking method on some types of ram these tend to be more reliable as all data/addresses are checked but most types are NON ECC.
Also you cant mix ECC and Non ECC RAM.
buffers introduce a small delay into the electrical signal, so adding buffers to a standard density module would have the effect of slowing down the signal, compared to the same low density module without buffers.
