fitted some -60mm springs today as well as some new 16" alloys i picked up for dead cheap. however when i took it for a drive theres major scrubbing on the back. i drove for about 30 seconds and it rubbed away some of the plastic trim on the back arch :s anyway, if i replace the back springs for 40mm will it cure the scrubbing?

arch is held on by a few 10mm plastic nuts from the back not really sure whats best to use to trim it i trimmed mine with a grinder also did the metal underneath trim it to just below the bolts and tap it out a bit with a hammer just make sure you prot.ect any bare metal or itll rust like mad. what offset are your wheels

i think some have 195/40/16's. cost a lot but worth it in the long run.
and they have an offset of 45+

You generally use them when you tow a caravan etc
It stops the spring compressing fully so it should rub on the arch but i dont know if it would comprise on the ride and handling
