Personally I would probably salt the username, hash it and put that on the link, then test for it on the click.
Alternatively people could get out more and stop giving me bullshit jobs to do when I've far more important things to bother my arse over.

Or...
Remove the user check from the logout script, but just use the hash string to perform the log out.
Would take a big longer to check as it would need to check everyone online, but it would log out whoever made the link, not the person who clicked on it.....
