managed to get the f28 to select all the gears nicely last night so i went for a drive this morning to see how things were. everything felt really good and was going quick ish in 6th. felt aload of vibration suddenly so slowed right down to about 40mph and the front wheel went bouncing into the nearest hedge! managed to keep it in a straight line and stop. front disc is ko'd along with the skirt and arch but considering its not all that bad, was very lucky really. just need a disc and a load of fibreglass and filler.
2 complete strangers in a fiesta rs turbo pulled over with a couple of jacks and some tools so time rac arrived all was ok. drove it back home slowly but still nearly crying. ow well

it was super scary. legs went abit jelly when i got out. luckly a grands worth of new gearbox didnt hit only the disc and skirt touched the road surface. even found all the wheel bolts and the spacer in the grass which was strange.

heres the damage

not to bad but ime still gona bin the fibreglass infested shell. (hooray!, all)

engine and box brakes and sus are going in a standard gsi along with a few gauges etc mounted suttly. maybe some v6 leather and small exterior mods (ie smoked side repeaters) also looks like wheel of choice by default will be cav gsi which i no arnt to everyones taste but i likes em

some parts from the original corsa will be up for grabs. a lerge selection will be going from ice to body kit parts to pannels so will get a list up or links to the act of god that is known as ebay!

that happened to me in an astra BUT

i was pulling awayfrom the petrol pump and heard a thud and the car toppled over,

wheel sat under the arch keeping everything else off the ground,

jacked it up, forced the wheel nuts in the out then in and it's been sound ever since
