Collected quite a few bits for the car and was getting pretty ridiculous. First plan was to get a new axle sorted out as mine had been bent hitting a curb heavily, Also got some poweflex bushes and a poly bush for the ARB

spent this afternoon fitting the axle along with fk suspension(only done the back for now)

how it sits on the standard rims, probably about 20mm lower than before. Will see if it settles any more

sneak peak of the wheels i bought from jamesvalver this morning. Fitted one just to see how it sat and ill probably trim the arches down to be on the safe side. I wont be keeping them black either.

It doesnt have an exhaust at the moment but I have one ready to go on. While i was under the car i noticed the underside will probably need wire brushing down and re-undersealing. Got a few plans for the bodywork, nothing special but it does need tidying up abit.

updates every sunday hopefully

Nice to meet you too James. Im still not sure about Xe power even after being in your car!

I dont really like the black/grey contrast it looks kind of dull and the paint on the wheels have a few chips in anyway which James offered to sort out beforehand but i had always planned to get them sprayed a different colour. Gian, got a magnex backbox for it. The car is more or less off the road for now until everything is sorted.

cheers for the comments everyone!

I planned to get the replacement axle powdercoated and considering how much it cost me i thought i might aswell get it done in a garish colour. I think the grey and light blue contrast well - even if the axle isnt seen very often

worked out in the pissing rain again today. Got the coilovers fitted, probably lowered about 65mm/70mm not too sure so will give time for them to settle. copper-greased every thread in sight aswell

How it sits up front

also fitted a magnex backbox but it is blowing slightly where it joins onto the center section so will get some exhaust putty from somewhere and see if that sorts it out.

thought i'd make a start on cleaning up the chassis. Had a closer look at the car on ramps on friday and the O/S chassis leg needs welding. Only worked on the rust around the rear axle area today. Will treat the rust with jenolite then apply fresh underseal and tetrasyl 'stonechips' around the rear arches

A few pictures from a mornings work:

rear chassis leg

O/S outer seal by the rear arch.

more pictures later.

Yes Nath they've had plenty of use!! Just give me a shout if you need them back

The jenolite stuff is designed to go directly onto metal/rust then primer etc. can go on top.

Cleaned up the O/S rear arch and applied tetrosyl stonechips, Came out pretty well:

Also applied the first layer of waxoyl around the wheel well and rear chassis legs, can see from the pictures it is too thin so will go over it again:

another thing, one of the bolts snapped off from the heatshield around the wheel well. Does anyone else run without one?
