Car failed on this and a fog light bulb at the weekend, going back in friday to get a new track rod end fitted and MOT'd
How much will this set me back do you think, for the track rod end?

think i paid about 25 quid to have one fitted depends were u having it done.

They cost about £15 and are pretty easy to fit. My old car failed on one and I replaced it in 15 mins. If it was rusted on it would have taken longer though. I was lucky...

My track rod end is fucked apparently aswell.. the garage said it will cost £20 for part and fitting and then the tracking will need doing aswell and thats £20
|

£40 sounds fair to do the job. Though if you fancy tackling it yourself it's really quite simple...

MOT runs out Thursday
Drop the car off Friday dinner time and I will have it back at night MOT'd
I only have time to work on the car at weekends, and iv never put the car to a garage before (apart from a new centre section) so think I could reach into my pocket this once
