Got a budget of £1000 - £1500
Wanna give my 1.0 12v more power, if thats possible with these hair dryers, it already has a cat back system btw.
Was thinkin of an engine conversion but duno how easy it is with 1.0s as they have been made differently in terms of elecs etc
Sooo what can be done
Spose i could always by a new car but havent got no claims yet so insurance would be sky high on some.

How old are you?
No point wasting money on the 1.0 12v TBH. you may aswell put a bigger engine in

Or, buy a 1.4/1.6 sport, pending on age.
Edit - You're 19 right? get a 1.6 sport.

I was insured on a 1.8 turbo at 18 with no ncb, i'm sure you'll get insured on a 1.6 sport.

I wouldn't bother spending 1k on your current car. You really will regret it when you are in a position to buy a faster car.

Personally, if I were you, i'd just grit my teeth and wait for september to come, and then get a 1.6 sport (insurance will be reasonable then)
Save that £1500 for insurance, and you'll have some change left for some mods

1 years no claims, same price as my 1.2 8v, £1500 obviously varies from person to person though

I did spot something interesting in Total Vauxhall this month for a 1.0 12v Corsa if you love your car that much.
Dblias X10XE Flowtec Manifold System - Corsa B <-- linky.
Can give power gains up to 20bhp and costs £850

No point mate. I looked at that myself ages ago. its far far cheaper to put in another engine.
Ill be convertin my 1.0 12v to a 1.6 gsi engine soon. Engine costing me £300, and £300 to fit.

That sounds like the best option ever u gettin the engine of the net? i wud of thought the labour costs would be way higher tho.

No a friend of mine will fit it. Engine is off someone on here (including everything to fit it), and hopefully will be done in a weekend.
Its the best option all round mate. Then yu can tune the 1.6 if you want to.

lolz I was joking about the manifold system - 20bhp isn't that much of a gain on a 12v anyway. The engine will probably fry anyway.
Apparently BP Ultimate can add 100cc extra to your engine - better off using that, then a 12v will be over 1000cc's
