got one fitted and was wondering what difference it makes to where it is set to?! if i have it all the way in it makes no noise, yet if i unscrew its like having a mini induction kit! so much so it almost whistles?! anyone shed some light on this for me!

erm, nah

Tuning your Ecotek Valve
Screw the locking ring towards the nylon ‘T’ piece as far as it will go.
Screw the cap containing the filter in the same direction (ie: clockwise looking at the filter) as far as it will go WITHOUT TIGHTENING.
The unit is now locked off and you are ready to start the engine. Start engine and allow it to reach operating temperature and tick over revs without choke.
At operating temperature gently unscrew (turn anti-clockwise) the CB-26P filter housing until you feel the unit vibrate, this should be accompanied by a LOUD induction noise. Close the unit (turn clockwise) until this noise stops.
Repeat the last step until you are certain you have reached the point that the unit starts to operate (where the noise stops/starts) and then turn the filter housing clockwise through 90°
Lock the filter into position with the locking ring, being careful not to move the filter.
Job done. Take it for a test drive.

It may sometimes be necessary to re-tune the device after a short while as it beds in and may need readjustment. In addition the device will not be completely air-tight when locked-off and will bleed very slightly at tick over, this is entirely normal.

A DVD and VHS Video is available showing the full fitting and tuning process on three separate cars, the DVD also has multilingual subtitles in English, French, German and Spanish - both are priced at £4.25 plus VAT (£4.99 incl.)

for any 1 who doesn't know i just found this!

it lets unmetered air into your engine, and also into your brake servo hose......
waste of time....
potentially dangerous..
makes a stupid noise..

im sure that ^^^ is connected to the rocker cover breather or something

if it is an ecotek valve it shouldnt be there, its supposed to be on the induction pipe, over on the left
