memory could do with being a bit bigger and HD is nothing massive i wouldnt pay more than £400 for it.

offered £400 but his reply was its a 1200 laptop and with xp/vista and office2007.

upto you really, but the closer you get to 400 the better. even at 450 you arnt getting ripped off.

1200 is probably not far off what that actually costs.
It should come with a 3year nbd warranty which is part of the reason the business machines are more expensive.
Afaik dell don't ship ultimate on anything with less than a gig of ram.
For that particular laptop, as long as it came with the full original warranty that probably isn't a bad deal.
