It's official, these things are great.
I just fitted mine to the Punto and the ammount of torque the thing has now is pretty impressive. I have been fiddling with the settings and I am worried about taking it any futher now because I think it's at about it's max before it will start kicking up an ECU fault. The setting up took a while because you can't adjust the dial on it too quickly and when I plugged it in at first I needed to up the power loads because it was throwing an ECU fault up and the power was actually about the same, if not a bit lower than usual. But it's best to do things like this slowly
It has givein me a lot of low down torque which will lower my MPG when motorway cruising. The only problem is, when flooring it the torque comes in one massive blast. But that is pretty typical of a diesel engine.
In summery, if you have or ar getting a CDTI then get one of these boxes and take some time to set it up...

Yaa, I read the insturctions which you sent me which said about the screw. Oh and er... I also put one of the plugs in upside down to start with Don't try fitting these in the dark with the plastic cover on the engine still.......

Maybe you should try it first before commenting?
I have been in a car with that very power box and it most certainly does make a difference

Significantly cheaper than a remap as well, especially when you get as good a deal as ed did

It's not that different to a remap tbh, alters the fueling the same as a remap would, doesn't touch the boost or anything like that.
Also totally undetectable on ed's brand new still in warranty car.
Better than a remap until he is at least out of warranty imo.

define properly then Steve?
if Irmscher sell them for fitment to Vauxhalls, surely that constitutes 'properly'?

well like john says it doesnt even touch the boost, and your not changing anything in the ECU your just 'fooling' it.
probably good for the money (i dont know what he paid for it) but id probably have a remap and pay more but get more

Yes, even though a re-map is undetectable I still feel this to be a more sensible option. I can remove it whenever the car goes into the dealership so the guy doing the service or whatever wont notice a thing, therfore keeping the warrenty.

Not all remaps are totally undetectable, although some are now.
Taking it out is also easy, again remaps can be disabled but it costs double what that did just for the switch to switch it to the standard map.
I was happy with it, ed is so far happy with it.
I get abuse for not having a 360 personally when I comment on it.
I assume you have personally had a tuning box on a cdti steve?

You can pick them up off of ebay. Though I am unsure of the quality of them...

I was very wary when I originally bought that, was just thinking of the resistor boxes and the fact I was getting done.
Looked into it and spoke to the guys via email though and it ended up being legit.
Car was never rolling roaded but I could believe the claims.

I wouldn't mind getting it on an RR and doing a before and after of it as it's so easy to pop off... Next local RR meet perhaps

Would be interesting to see the results anyway.
Literally 30 seconds to take it on and off once you've done it.

An AMH Booster, originally off of a Corsa C 1.3 CDTI which uses the same management as my Punto so the looms matched

I've sat in Johns car with it off and on, if it doesn't make any difference to how quick it is it certainly gives far more torque at certain revs, you can feel it pulling quite noticably.

I think Steve is commenting on diesel engines without quite understanding how they work.
