Hi guys,

so can anyone recommend a decent sony or canon digital SLR?

have a friend from china who is heading home at the end of the month who is going to pick me up one cheap.

There is no bad Canon DSLR, only cheap ones and expensive ones.

Depending on budget you should probably get a few lenses/batteries/memory cards as well.
