As some of you know i had a 1.4 16v sport Gsi rep i built from scratch which was lowered 60mm with subs and tv screen and xbox in it. After a while i got bored of all that very quickly. i wanted something genuine and with a bit ore poke

i found this gsi with 82k on the clock owned by a old man that had it for 11 years!!! it has tonnes of history and wasnt anything wrong with it apart it could do with a new shock.

so i bought lt

the day i bought it

next day took the gsi and the sport to the garage and the sport went from this

to this

with some bits

i had some old alloys i hadnt used in ages so got them refurbed and powder coated

then the wheels were wrong offset so had to put cavs wheels on (which i wish id left) and i swapped my 60mm gmax kit for a 40mm bilstein Streetline kit

my 2 cars until the sport went

Car then got rolling roaded at perfect touch with CS and it ran 107bhp and 107lb/torque which i was happy as the performance new was 107/109

not alot happened for a while. i was happy with it so didnt feel the need to change it

then i got some bigger brakes - out with the old

in with the new

also painted rear drums

then for a laugh put 18" on it while on the ramps

the had a car washing session with willay

then about 3 days after on a very snowy day a tree jumped out in the middle of the road
damage wasnt to bad but took afternoon off work and had a little look to make sure everything was ok

then there she is all taped up

know today 10/03/06 its new windscreen a temp bumper while i try and repair the old one/ get a new one and im also fitting a new bonnet.

just need a wing know and as i said repair or locate a new bumper

ordered depos waiting for them and need them as MOT next week

ill update later

Today
all taped up damaged and bent

so decided to remove bumper ready for repair

it needs some work tape covers the damage in that pic.
so got a temp bumper

got that sorted

but still had to do bonnet on it, change a fuse and get new windscreen. so waited for sindscreen an to coe then drove to my nans where the bonnet was.

new bonnet

got it lined up one side but still sourcing a new wing so its a bit dodgy on the other side

thats it for know. got some fibreglass and filler so work will start on the bumper if i get time oh i also stripped the bumper of splitter and fog lights ready for work.

in the process of changing the bonnet also broke the windscreen washer pump so need a new one i bodged it so front washer still works thou just rear doesnt atm.

Supose to take the paint off the surface before adding filler.
If you have jusy added about 2 ton of bog to smooth off then recess then its not going to last long, will just fall out after time.
Should off
- removed paint
- Key the surface
- P40 fiberglass the area
- P38 filler small skim
- Stopper the area
- High build primer
