hey all looking for some help on my corsa 1.4 16v sport.
had to pull over on the hard shoulder yesterday because of smoke coming from under the bonet, looked underthe bonet and i have oil leaking from someware and is driping onto the down pipe/manifold thing lol, checked my oil level and it was bone dry after me topping it up 2days before, the temp gage was staying fine well was only at 90, just wondering if any1 has any ides of what i can do to fix the problem?? cant realy jack the car up coz its low and damages the bodykit, cars up for sale at the moment but dont want to sell it as it stands.

any help would be much apreciated

looks like rocker cover gasket mate. ment to be quite popular to go on corsa's. im sure someone else will post though.

rocker cover gasket deffo mines gone keep havin to top it up with oil stinks when it gets on the exhaust manifold

no just make sure you clean where the gasket sits and get a good seal, dont ove rtighten the bolts either

sorry to hijack the thread but.. does the oil leak fast or just over time? i may have a simlar problem because my oil seems to be going somewhere, i dont see any of it on the drive though. so could possibly be burning it

depends on how big the leak is, driving style/length etc mine pissed oil out when the gasket went

mine is pretty quick but quicker when the engine is hot
if i leave the car a few hours im garanteed to have a oil patch about 5inches or so,

if you change the rocker cover gaskets be sure to use the genuine vauxhall ones, most of the pattern ones i have used have been inferior.
Also looks like your oil filter is well overdue for a change you can see the rust spots on it!

cheers m8 i noticed that myself lol, i can hardly jack the car up to get under it tho, mite need to ake the front off
