ive got these 2 in mind
pioneer VSX 2016 £500-£600
http://www.weymouthhifi.co.uk/website/pioneer/pioneer-vsx2016.htm
or
cambridge audio 640r £550-£600
http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=CAMB-640R-BLK&SID=68ef1d8930b3f715be219901cc53edc9
ive read the cambridge has better sound and is award wining, it is also a new amp for this year!! and has loads more connectivety...
but to be honest im replacing a sony 5.1 hifi sytem, which is 7 years old! but it does sound good through my 5.1 dvd player, but i cant compare to much as this is my first system! so will the cambridge be a overkill??
i was thinking of getting the pioneer 1016, which is a model below the one ive quoted above and £300 cheaper!!!!!

but i do however have a nice hdtv plasma, so would it be worth it??
ALSO, i will be keeping my current sony 5.1 speakers, so would they do these amps any justice??
