Im spraying some bits of my model car with halfords aerosols.
My plan was too apply the primer then a solid red coat then some laquer to make it shine.
I attempted a tester on a lemonade bottle, primered it then top coat and laquer, the laquer went funny, like it was all bunching up almost like it couldnt stick.
Is this because your not meant to laquer solid top coats (ie only metallic finishes) or is it just because as it was a tester i didnt really wait all that long for the coats to go off?

if u laquer it and it goes wrong, sand it back down to the base coat and just re-do the top coat

these paints have some thinner i think, so it just reacts with the plastic

Did you use plastic primer? Also did you use prep wipes on the plastic to make sure the surfaces were clean? (No dust etc.)

Halfords laquer is rubbish, I tried to put it on my spoiler, and most of it ended on my rear window and I can't get it off.
