Morning guys

Well work progressed further on the MK Indy at weekend and we fitted the turbo kit to our car.......................I wish!!!!!!

Did go up to the factory tho as we needed a few bits and they were working on a couple of pretty special cars! First one was a ZX-10 turbo and the second one was a supercharged ZX-9R (I think - but all bike engines look the same to me) Both have been running but not mapped? Guessing power to be around the 200bhp mark on both?

Also took the MK demonstrator car out - An Indy Fireblade 923R! It was awesome - Sequential box was mental! DO NOT go out in this car because you will buy one!!! When this car is finished that is being built Im going to buy one of my own and do something a bit mental with it!!!!

Supercharged

Turbocharged

You can imagine what this sound like!!!!

Haha...............imagine how reliable that would be!!!

What I think I might do is when the project is finished, put all the pics together and do a full step by step write up!

Nope, not as standard anyway! Havent got a clue why but it fails the SVA test with the paddle changed installed, you need a stick? A paddle will be installed when we get it through the SVA tho!

Hmmmm? Its probably gonna be one of those things that we will just have to try really. It will be a basic "push-pull" paddle system so it will be trial and error!

The main advantage of the paddle system is that you dont have to take your hands off the steering wheel to change gear so you'll always be in control and gear changes should be a little faster too?

Hands on the wheel can only be better.

When i'm racing my my wi his C2 VTS, the car looks unstable from behind. He said he keeps his hand on the gear stick for quicker changers.

So i told him to put both hands on the wheel and his car looks a lot more stable now.

To be honest Im not a big fan of paddle changes in modern cars - Probably because of all the electronic gubbins etc.......this one wont be anything like that - Its a mechanical systems that goes direct to the box so it will just as quick as using the stick..........I hope!

Nice one. Keep us all updated.

In a few years, after i've killed my corsa, i'm going to get a Lotus 7 style kit car and hope to put in a Z20LEH engine in it.
