Hello

Bought my corsa end of last year and spent a fair bit on it now. She had a print out inc in the sale of 233 BHP running pretty standard. My first concern was getting her fully reliable and addressing any leaky gaskets and horrible squeeks. With all that done and above board by early january I started aiming my cash towards tuning her. Ideally wanted to run the EDS Phase 2 software from Regal to get her to be able to unleash some extra BHP at the push of a button. Well recently got her running Regals phase 2 software along with the necessary other parts (plugs and FPR). With everything looking pretty healthy now I was happy to slap her ass on the rollers....had to be done....

Me and a few mates booked in at Powerstation in Tewkesbury (top lads). Cars consisted of a 206 Gti 180 and a Mazda MX5.

Set up and calibration etc

1st Run on Low Boost 272.6 BHP @ 10PSI

2nd Run on High Boost 281.3 BHP @ 14PSI

Really happy with the runs, the low boost run shows a dip in the boost after the 'over boost feature' before she settled at 10 PSI but a really good high boost run.

Thanks for looking Mark

good results, but 28% power loss through the transmission? thats about double what you should be getting.

9bhp gain with 4psi more? That can't be right, should it not be a bigger gain than that?

Well its been a while since I have done any updating to thought Id make one as its raining so I cant run 1/4 miles today as planned :-(

I decided the interior really needed sorting out so started off with the basic stuff like mats, white dials, boost and afm gauge. The seats and door cards were really worn and I knew exactly what I wanted the interior to look like so set about doing that.

Started stripping the inside plastics out and decided to detail clean them while they were out. I replaced all the worn plastics from local scrapyard over a period of time. These were some dash parts inc the clock display, some lightong switches and handles as I wanted the inside pretty much perfect.

Managed to source some freshly trimmed door cards out which was so lucky. Exactly what I was looking for so set about stripping the old ones out.

Then started on removing the rear seats inc all the seatbelts. This all in preperation for eventually some buckets and harnesses. I wanted a subtle build in the back so began getting some prices on that while preping the inside.

With the rear seats out along with all the seatbelts it was time tostart fitting the new door cards. I had some enthusiastic help as you can see.....

Then decided to get a rear 3" top strut as eventually wanted to have some buckets with the harnesses running from the brace. trial fitted that and then removed it as would have been a bit harsh on the audio company to have to manouver around :-)

After a few prices on a subtle carpeted false floor with some 6X9s it was time to book it in for some work..... No progress pics but the final result.

Definately happy with it so went about ordering some cobra monaco seats and sparco harnesses :-) In the meantime gave the inside a clean and removed the front seats

The seats arrived I have no progress pics of the actual fitting as I was pulling my hair out with the first one. Bit fiddly but definately worth the hassle. With the seats in I got the harnesses fitted and as planned used the rear brace as the rear mount.

Finally decided to change the steering wheel for a momo race one and splashed some LED's in too.

Pic for referance on boss size gaianst some of the cheap nasty bosses

Next mission was to change the turbo and fit some saab injectors. Decided against doing the turbo myself which was a good choice as 2 of the studs had to be drilled out! New turbo

The saabs I was doing myself however so ordered some from the spares saab center. Would have been silly not to overhaul them etc so purchased a kit. Stripped them down.

Fitted the kit

Then set about getting them in :-)

Rail out

Saabs on the rail :-)

In they go

With all going really well it was time to set the boost as the new turbo compliments a courtney uprated actuator. With all that done it was time for a burn :-)
Everything is running spot on couldn't be happier really. Pretty much finished interior wise.

Decided to buy some new rims. Wanted them for ages here they are now fitted

Next plans are some more engine mods ill keep you updated. well ill try!!
