Cutting a long story short.
Ive re routed the standard breather to use an oil vapour catch tank, Its ment to collect the crap and oil moister gunk into the tank. BUT after 50 miles its decided to catch a litre or oil instead !!
The oil was literally spitting from the breather i have on the catch tank.
Any ideas?
No smoke or loss of performance so doubt its bottom end/rings.

it gets forced up from the crankcase, usually caused by worn piston rings

i hope its not the rings, as i said there is no other signs of piston ring failure.. oil pressure is fine etc../

Is your catch tank airtight?

well, compression test showed something bad, one cylinder was very low copaired to others.. so we think its the rings / piston in that cylinder.
Dipstick poped out earlier. so defo a compression issue bottom end.
new short engine time me thinks ???
