On my Escort . . .
The brake pipes are looking pretty damn rusty and by that I mean the green thin metal pipe with lots of bends in it ? Also on corsa of course
How easy are these to bend into position and replace etc ? Once fitted is the bleeding procedure just the same as normal ?
Cheers

Pain in the arse job, not hard, just takes ages and you'll fuck up the lengths a few times before getting it right.

So say Im replacing for the front right caliper , for example.
The pipes will just go straight to the ABS unit ?

when i used to do the transit van ones it used to go to a few mid-point joiners before going to the master cylinder, but they are much longer vehicles. i would say it goes direct to the abs unit tbh.

Take the brake pipes off in one piece and find somewhere that makes them up, give them your old one as a template. Or you could buy a proper bending and flaring tool yourself and do it that way.

Can you bend these without a flaring tool ?
Do I need to buy pipe ends etc ?

The flaring tool is for the ends so that the joints don't leak.
So you need to do that, but you don't have to buy the ends, although it's a good idea IMO.
Bending it is best done with a special bender too, or you'll kink the pipes all over the place and get pissed off with it.
Buy the stuff, then ebay it when you're done

It's not hard, it's just time consuming, and you WILL make mistakes and end up wasting loads of pipe as you've made it too short, or bent it the wron way etc
As for the size, I think so, we only had one diameter in my old work.

It's not a ball ache. You just buy a coil of copper line and work your way round the car. I just did my Corsa, got the majority of it done in about an hour

pipe bending is pretty easy i have to do it every day where i work and even as a beginner it did not find it to dificult just take your time and when bending take into account the width of the pipe which can throw it out 6mm just for starters or whatever the pipe dia is

Bought the flaring tool and pipe
Do I have to replace the whole length of pipe , or can I put a joint in the non corroded area of pipe ?
