I have had my 1.6 Sport now for approximately 15 months, so thought it was time to start a project thread!

This was when I first had my car, alongside my old 1.2 8v:

One of the first things I did was fit my Pioneer headunit, along with my sub and the amp for my front components:

I then fitted my Corsa C SXI wheels when one of my standard wheels got a puncture:

I also got hold of a Punto rear wiper, so fitted that:

Then the first real change was a badgeless FK grille:

I also fitted an Irmscher grille badge and a set of Depo smoked headlights:

I then fitted a set of Red Dot discs and pads, as I got them cheaper than I could get standard parts:

I decided to refurb the SXI wheels last summer as they were looking a bit tatty, but also because I wanted them in anthracite. I decided to paint them in Rover Gunmetal Grey, and fitted a new set of Uniroyal Rainsports in 195/45/15:

Then my standard exhaust split where the pipe is welded to the entrance to the backbox, so I got a full cat-back system fitted by longlife in Swansea. I went for a 2" round tailpipe, which I wasn't sure about at first but decided on it as I wanted the subtle look:

More to follow!

Then these beauties arrived:

A full set of Koni adjustable shocks and springs, but I got sent the wrong springs:

so I sent the springs back and then waited a few days for the new ones. In that time, I just gave the car a good wash and took a few photos:

Then the new springs arrived, so I fitted them:

Then last week I drove from South Wales to Surrey to pick up a post 97 Irmscher splitter, which is now fitted:

Thats about it for now, although I do have a BMC CDA kit in the garage to go on, as well as a set of Irmscher front fog lights:

I will update when I get these bits fitted!

I'm not too sure either Joe, but I have decided to give them a go as I can always get another lower grille cheaply if I decide I don't like them, and there will always be the wiring there anyway if I decide to go with a GSI front or an airdam in the future.

I think the fogs won't be fitted until the summer yet anyway, as I don't have much time left of Easter, loads of Uni work to do instead.

Did think about that Tom, but I am trying to keep the car so it can all be returned to standard easily. At the moment, all it needs is a standard exhaust system, as everything else is being kept in the roof of the garage ready for if I ever wish to change it back to sell it.

Try to check for anything shorting out, so I would be looking more towards a power cable, not the earth.

Not sure, if I get any skirts it will be GSI replicas as they are the same colour as standard arches and bumper tops.

I want a CDX rear as well, with the lower diffuser style thing as well.

Tom, its 40mm on the Koni's mate, should have heard the exhaust on the floor on that gravel path I drove along to get to the building site

Thanks for the splitter mate, fits great and perfect colour match, hope you got your rubber splitter fitted ok!

Different bumper mark, so different splitter unfortunately

Just hold out, you will find one soon, I just waited and this one came up, even in the right colour!
