Will this need cleaning off the inside before it could be fitted? and how would you go about doing that if so??

when i got mine coated, the guy only did the exterior of it, never even touched the inside with the powder coating

Could try the old de-greasing fluid?

I've seen 2 engines blow up due to them not cleaning the inside of the cam cover (Fad and Muppetsport).

Clean with a damp soapy nail brush (or small brush) and thorougly rinse out.

Or it could be a very costly cam cover swap..

The only way to get powder coating off is by using strong acids...

Shouldnt have really powder coated the inside.....when you get some hot oil on that theres a chance it could come off and as Daimo has said, fook the engine!

Will be an arse to get all that off there too!!!
